With me being on a good way to recovery, it is now time to initiate you into the bet I have going with my husband. B)
!!! I WILL LOSE 42 LBS ( 19 KILO) (the baby weight) IN 4 MONTHS !!!
He says I will at least need 6 months, if not even more. I say I can make it in those 4 months!
We haven’t quite figured out what I get if I win, or what he’s getting if he wins the bet… so there is not a real motivation other than being able again to wear skinny jeans and fit in my old clothing and just feel and look great again…which is motivation enough to me, but I feel like it would be a very nice winner prize to get a new tattoo if I win!!! (hope hubby reads this. lol)
I should mention that the bet starts, once I’ve successfully finished my first workout, which I will attend to do tomorrow (Monday, Feb. 11).
My Weight and Measurement as of Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013:
Weight: 181.8 lbs (82.46 kilo)
Waist: 31 in (78.74 cm)
Belly: 39 in (99.06 cm)
Hip: 42.5 in (107.95 cm)
Butt: 46 in (116.84 cm)
Thighs: 27.25 in (69.21 cm)
Knees: 19.75 in (50.16 cm)
Calves: 17 in (43.18 cm)
Writing this down, makes me realize that this is the biggest I have ever been in my life. This is gonna be a challenge but I can do it! If I can do it, anyone can do it. So we’ll see at the end of the bet (in 4 months) if we (you and me) can do it.
So how will I do this?
I will delete certain foods from my diet for 6 days a week. I will no longer eat:
• potatoes, rice and pasta
• bread and other bread products
• any kind of sweets
• dairy (except for 100 g fat free yogurt a day and plain yogurt)
• fruits and fruit juices
I will simply exchange those with:
• sweet potato and squash
• natural sweetened things with stevia
• almond milk
• berries (mostly strawberries)
I will have lots of protein from either protein shakes, chicken meat, egg whites or tuna and I will eat multivitamins. I will drink lots and lots of water and tea (around 3 liters a day). I will drink the juice of half a lemon with room temp. water every morning on an empty stomach.
My workout routine will look like this:
Cardio (fast walking with some running, on the treadmill) for at least 1/2 an hour but mostly 45 minutes in the morning…hopefully before breakfast after the lemon water
Weight training in the afternoon/evening for 1 hour.
And that 5 – 6 times a week.
I will post before and after pictures every month … not every week, because I doubt that there will be enough progress to be noticeable after one week.
And so here comes the hardest, most embarrassing part … posting my first before pictures:
Sorry if this is something you don’t like to see. It’ll get better in time… I promise.
I know that those pants have holes in any possible spot, but those pants are the only pants I have, that are sitting comfortable tight (not squeezing tight) and that will stay tight and fitted as I get smaller. That way you will always see my real body size, without me having to be naked
So there you go… You can go ahead and start with me together.
If you have questions, I’m more than happy to answer them and help out where ever I can…
And you know that I love every vote, every like and every comment (non-spam comments please).

I actually admire that your taking the challenge and have the courage to post your pictures.
your commitment sounds complete, I’m sure you’ll find resources to achieve it!
And don’t forget to have fun on the way
thank you ! I actually achieved it once already. well, I guess only half of it though. I had lost 20 lbs before pregnancy… but I wasn’t that heavy either… and didn’t have to lose that much. posting those pictures is something that was very hard for me, as I’m very self consciousbut that should give me some more motivation, since I want to show the nice after pictures even more now. lol
